Competitive Program

The Rhythmic Program at R.G.C. Expressia is entered through successful audition or invitation only.

Rhythmic Interclub, Provincial and National Programs:  National gymnasts will be required to compete in all compulsory GO and GCG meets, and the provincial gymnasts will compete in all compulsory GO qualifiers as well.  If a provincial athlete places in the top 60% of her category, the gymnast will proceed to the Provincial Championships.  In addition to compulsory meets, all athletes may also attend Invitational Meets within Ontario and Quebec selected by the Rhythmic Head Coach.

 

Program placement and Level Assignment

Gymnasts are evaluated and placed in a particular program at the discretion of their coach and the head coach.  Movement between levels or programs and participation in individual and provincial meets is also at the discretion of the coaching staff.

 

Interclub Level

The Interclub level is for children who would like to participate at a more advanced recreational level of gymnastics. Routines on all apparatus will be choreographed and gymnasts will take part at 1-2 meets throughout the season. This level of gymnastics is for children 6 years of age and older.

 

Provincial Level

The competitive structure of Rhythmic Gymnastics is organized by Provincial and National Levels. Gymnasts are catergorized according to ability and age. Technical requirements are established for routines using a specified apparatus, in a levelized program. Gymnasts may compete in individual and/or group programs.


National Level
